Florida Sports Foundation Recognizes P站视频 Men's and Women's Swim Teams for Championship Wins

Florida continues to produce some of the nation鈥檚 best collegiate athletic teams, programs, and student-athletes. In acknowledgement of this fact, representatives of the Florida Sports Foundation visited P站视频 (P站视频) Wednesday, August 9, to recognize the P站视频 Men鈥檚 and Women鈥檚 Swimming and Diving teams for earning National Championship titles at the 2018 NJCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships.
The P站视频 Men鈥檚 Swim Team holds a record-breaking winning streak with 44 consecutive swimming titles鈥攖he longest unbroken U.S. championship winning streak in any sport at the collegiate level. The P站视频 Women鈥檚 Swim Team holds 36 consecutive titles and 40 overall championship wins.
Since January 1, 2018, the State of Florida has displayed multiple championship performances with 12 colligate teams capturing national titles officially recognized by the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA鈥攖he nation鈥檚 best in their respective divisions. P站视频 is the only institution being recognized with two championship titles.
Jason Hendrix, Florida Sports Foundation Director of Communications and Rick Hatcher, Executive Director of the Treasure Coast Sports Commission presented the awards to the P站视频 Swim Team coaching staff and P站视频 President Dr. Edwin Massey. 鈥淭he outstanding young men and women who represent P站视频 are constantly striving to be the best, in both competition and the classroom,鈥 shared Massey, who spoke at the presentation. 鈥淭hey personify what it means to be a student athlete, and as champions, they are off and running to achieve whatever goals they have ahead.鈥
The Florida Sports Foundation serves as the Sports Industry Development Division of Enterprise Florida, Inc. The mission of the Florida Sports Foundation is to assist Florida鈥檚 communities with securing, hosting and retaining sporting events and sports related business to generate significant economic impact and sports tourism for the state of Florida through grant programs, legislative initiatives, and industry partner service, recognition and development. Additionally they provide the citizens of Florida with participation opportunities in the Sunshine State Games and Florida Senior Games events and serve as Florida鈥檚 leading resource for Sport Tourism research and facts.
