Introducing Our Next President, Dr. Timothy Moore

The PÕ¾ÊÓƵ District Board of Trustees has unanimously selected Dr. Timothy Moore to serve as the College's fourth president. Moore has a 35-year career in higher education, federal, commercial, military and start-up sectors. He will succeed Dr. Edwin Massey, the longest-serving president in the Florida College System, who has served the institution with high distinction since 1973, including 32 years as president. Presidential Search Phases

PÕ¾ÊÓƵ is entering Phase Four: Selection and Hiring.

  • Announcement of Dr. Massey's decision not to seek contract renewal
  • Appoint Search Committee Chair
  • Request Information for Executive Search Consultant
  • Develop Search Committee nomination criteria and distribute internally and externally
  • Hire Search Firm (or choose to handle in-house)
  • Establish preliminary Search budget
  • Begin aligning internal resources
  • Launch Search website

  • Finalize and convene Search Committee
  • Schedule, promote and hold listening sessions
  • Develop Presidential Profile and job description
  • Develop marketing materials and schedule ads

  • Advertise
  • Collect applications
  • Screen applicants
  • Recommend finalists

  • Finalist interviews
  • Background checks
  • Selection of new President
